Reed Diffuser Tips & Tricks
Because scent science > guesswork
Picked up one of our reed diffusers? Excellent choice. Here’s how to get the most out of it - no overthinking required.
How to use it:
-
Start here: Unscrew the collar, then remove the rubber stopper. (Yes, it’s snug. No, it’s not supposed to stay in there.)
-
Add your reeds: Each diffuser comes with 10 fibre reeds, but we recommend starting with 4-5. It’s the sweet spot for a scent that shows up without taking over.
-
Let it settle: The fragrance will take a few hours to fully travel up the reeds. Patience = payoff.
-
Flip for freshness: Flip your reeds once a week to keep the scent noticeable. Do it over a sink or paper towel to avoid mess.
Refill, reuse, repeat:
-
Your glass bottle is reusable! Once it’s empty, give it a good wash and grab a refill.
-
Want to switch scents? Use fresh reeds and a clean bottle - no one wants a weird scent remix.
How long it lasts:
-
With regular flipping and a reed refresh around the three-month mark, you can get close to six months of scent.
-
Less flipping = longer life. More flipping = stronger scent. You’re in control.
Where to place it:
-
Smaller spaces like bathrooms, entryways, or bedside tables work best.
-
Avoid placing near heaters, vents, windows, or direct sunlight - it’ll burn through the fragrance faster than your phone battery on a night out.
Safety stuff (read this part):
-
Don’t ingest, don’t spill, and definitely keep away from pets and littles.
-
If it does spill, clean it up quickly. Our diffusers are clean-burning, but they’re still potent.
